The introduction of 4-inch iPhone SE triggered a discussion about whether it was a reasonable move.
The major doubt is why introduce the smaller smartphone model while the general trend is to get bigger?
Obviously, the price is the reason. iPhone SE is basically the iPhone 6 packed in a smaller space, for a reasonable price starting at $399 – something very attractive for emerging markets.
But there is another reason. There are many users, who, despite the trend, want to have a phone that can be operated with one hand and can easily fit inside a pocket.
Analytics company Mixpanel has just released the data showing that almost one-third of iPhone owners still uses one of the smaller models.
