The winners of the 2022 National Book Awards were announced on November 16, 2022.

▸ In fiction category, the winner is The Rabbit Hutch, a debut novel by Tess Gunty.

▸ The award in nonfiction goes to Imani Perry, for South to America.

▸ John Keene receives the poetry prize for Punks: New & Selected Poems.

▸ Samanta Schweblin (author) and Megan McDowell (translator) receive the translated literature award for Seven Empty Houses.

Young people’s literature winner is Sabaa Tahir, for All My Rage.
